These terms govern your use of Rental Wheels, a peer-to-peer vehicle rental marketplace operated by TechieGenz. Rental Wheels connects vehicle owners with renters; the rental contract for any trip is between the owner and the renter. By using the app you agree to these terms.
Eligibility & KYC
- You must be at least 18 years old and complete identity and driving-licence verification (KYC) before booking or listing.
- Your driving licence must cover the vehicle class (LMV for cars, MCWG for bikes/scooters) and be valid for the whole trip.
Bookings & payments
- Creating a booking reserves the vehicle for a limited payment window; it is confirmed once paid.
- A GST-compliant tax invoice is issued for every confirmed booking.
- Coupons and owner discounts apply as shown at checkout and may have conditions or limits.
The e-agreement you sign
When you place a booking you e-sign a Rental Agreement, and when you submit a listing you e-sign a Host Agreement. You sign by typing your full name and confirming, which is a valid electronic signature. The clauses below form part of those agreements, and we keep a timestamped record of your acceptance.
Damage & insurance (renter)
- Insurance does not cover damage you cause. Any damage, loss or theft of the vehicle, its parts or accessories during your trip is your responsibility, and you must pay the full repair or replacement cost — this is not limited to the security deposit and is not covered by the vehicle’s insurance.
- You return the vehicle in the same condition you received it, on time, with the same fuel/charge level.
Traffic challans & fines (renter)
You are liable for every traffic challan, fine, penalty, toll or e-challan arising during your trip period, even if it is received later. A refundable security deposit, where applicable, is held for the trip. After the trip we verify any challans and charges and refund the remaining security deposit within 3 working days of that check. If a valid challan or damage charge exceeds the deposit, you remain liable for the balance.
Security deposit & charges
The owner (with photo proof) or our team may deduct from the deposit for damage, traffic challans, cleaning, late return, fuel or tolls. You can dispute a charge with our support team; valid disputes are refunded.
Owner responsibilities & our role (host)
- Owners list accurate details and keep the RC and a valid insurance policy current for the vehicle.
- Rental Wheels is not responsible for any damage, loss or misuse caused by a renter. We are a marketplace, not a party to the rental; recovery of damage or challan amounts is between the owner and the renter.
- We help and mediate. Where there is a dispute, we assist both sides, review the proof on record and the deposit, and facilitate a fair resolution — but the final liability rests with the renter and owner.
Conduct
- Use vehicles lawfully and return them on time and in the condition received.
- We may suspend accounts or listings that violate these terms.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Rental Wheels is not liable for the acts of renters or owners, or for loss arising from a trip. Traffic fines, challans and damages are the responsibility of the renter for the trip period.
Account deletion
You can delete your account anytime from Profile → Delete account in the app, or see rentalwheels.app/delete-account. We anonymise your profile and remove your KYC documents; some records such as tax invoices are retained as required by law.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
