Rental Wheels (“we”, “us”), operated by TechieGenz, is a peer-to-peer vehicle rental platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email and phone number.
- KYC & verification: date of birth, address, government ID (Aadhaar/PAN/passport/voter ID), a selfie, and driving licence details and photos, as required to let you rent or list a vehicle.
- Listings & bookings: vehicle details, documents (RC, insurance), trip dates, chat messages between parties, and issue reports.
- Payments & payouts: transaction records and, for owners, the UPI ID or bank details you provide to receive payouts.
- Device & usage data needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To verify identity and driving eligibility, and to prevent fraud.
- To create and manage bookings, process payments, generate GST invoices, and settle owner payouts.
- To enable chat and support between renters and owners for a trip.
- To send booking confirmations, invoices and service notifications.
Sharing
Your name and masked trip details are shared with the other party of a booking. Documents and KYC are visible only to you, our review team, and (for trip-related proof such as damage photos) the other party of that trip. We do not sell your personal data. We share data with payment and infrastructure providers only as needed to run the service, or where required by law.
Retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active and as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it.
Your rights & account deletion
You can access or correct your profile in the app at any time. You can delete your account yourself from Profile → Delete account, or from rentalwheels.app/delete-account. When you delete your account we anonymise your profile, remove your KYC and licence documents and your saved devices, and take your listings offline. Some records (such as GST tax invoices and completed-booking history) are retained in anonymised form as required by law.
